Steel buildings are being used in so many applications and many times to the lay person they do not even think about the structure being a steel building. Just recently, I have read about or seen many high profile sport facilities utilizing steel. At Coastal Carolina University, close to Myrtle Beach, SC they customized their training facility with a metal roof that finished off a very streamlined clean look for the entire stadium. Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA just utilized a steel building to create their indoor football practice field, this state of the are facility was built from 590 tons of steel and is a shining example of clear span metal building construction. In Raeford, N.C. a very interesting custom steel building was constructed to house SkyVenture, LLC. This company located near Fort Bragg Army Base provides simulated skydiving in a wind tunnel environment. This very unique custom steel building looks like one building but is actually two. The structure is designed around the 51 foot high wind tunnel. Custom Steel Buildings are not just the square metal barn out back … they can be so much more.
