St. Patrick’s day is a holiday celebrated around the world but why do we celebrate this predominately Irish holiday? Who is St. Patrick anyway? In a nutshell, St. Patrick dedicated his life to teaching the pagans in Ireland about christianity. The color initially associated with St. Patrick was blue but because of his use of the shamrock to teach the people of Ireland about the holy trinity the color is now green and the symbol is the shamrock.
